VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited on the prescribed form for the under mentioned positions as mentioned against each post, the candidates who are domiciled in Sindh Province, so as to reach the office of undersigned on or before 08.06.2017 during the office hours. Applications should include two latest photographs, bio-data, attested Photostat copies of Certificates and names of two refrees. Application form can be obtained from the office of Deputy Registrar (Coordination & Meetings) Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, (QUEST) Nawabshah during the office hours against the payment of Rs.1000/- through Bank Draft / Demand Draft / Challan of NBP QUEST, Branch (nonrefundable) as processing fees. Application form can also be downloaded from the University website: www.quest.edu.pk or on plain paper showing position applied for, along with C.V which must be accompanied with a Bank Draft / Demand Draft / Challan of NBP QUEST Branch of the amount as mentioned above in favour of Director Finance QUEST, Nawabshah.

Maximum age limit is 45 years (relaxable in case where the applicant has exceptional experience or when a suitable candidate cannot be found in the prescribed age limit)

Qualification: Ph.D. degree in relevant filed recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC.

Experience: Fifteen (15) years teaching / research experience in HEC recognized University or 15 years professional experience in the relevant filed in a National or International Organization out of which 5-years must be teaching experience.

15 research publications with at least 05 publications during last 5-years in HEC/PEC recognized Journals.

Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution. No experience required.

OR

Master’s Degree (foreign) OR M.Phil. (Pakistan) OR equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/ Institution.

Experience: (04) years teaching / research experience in a recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

Ph.D. degree in any of Engineering discipline from HEC recognized University / Institution in consultation with PEC, having minimum 15 years teaching / research / administrative experience in a recognized Institution / College / University or 15 years professional / administrative experience in a National or International Organization out of which 5 years must be teaching experience.

INSTRUCTIONS / FURTHER INFORAMTION:

  • Candidates applying for the posts of Professors and Associate Professors need to submit four copies of their Research Publications, properly binded.
  • A Professor BPS-21 having Ph.D. in any Engineering Discipline shall also apply for the post of Principal.
  • Candidates who are already serving in Government/Semi-Government and Autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel accompanied by NOC from the employer and such incumbents will be responsible for getting themselves relieved properly from their departments.  An advance copy of the application(s) may be sent, so as to reach within due date.
  • Maximum age limit is 45 years; relaxable in cases of Government/Semi Government employees in exceptional cases.  However, there shall be no relaxation for qualification, publications and experience.
  • Appointment on Tenure Track System will be made only for QUEST, Nawabshah.. 
  • Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer is mandatory wherever necessary.
  • Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate application form(s) along with bank draft/ challan with necessary documents for each post. Candidates must clearly mention on the application form for the post and station separately.
  • Incomplete applications i.e. without educational, professional, experience certificates, processing fee etc or applications received after the specified date shall not be entertained.
  • The University reserves the right of cancellation of advertised post(s) partly or as a whole.
  • Only short listed candidates will be called for written test/interview.
  • Canvassing in any manner will disqualify the candidature.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the written test/interview.
